The DR250B is packed with power and convenience features, including the Double Gear Reduction system that increases the durability and improves the performance of this versatile drill. It boasts a keyless chuck design so bit changes are a snap, and a reversing brush system that gives you full power both in forward and reverse settings. The mid-handle design provides real balance and comfort for tricky angles or long jobs, and a soft grip gives your fingers plenty of traction for better precision. Just to keep everything close at hand, this model also offers on-board bit storage. This rugged drill/driver offers a variable speed of 0-1,500 rpm, with a 3/8-inch capacity in steel and a 1-inch capacity in wood. It comes with one double-ended screwdriving bit and a storage bag. Applications: The DR250B drills holes in wood, metal, and plastic; it drives screws to fasten almost any material, assembles furniture, hangs pictures, and tweaks hardware with ease. This model is perfect for woodworking, home repair, or craft projects, too. What's in the box: Black & Decker drill/driver, one double-ended screwdriving bit, storage bag

Great light-household use tool March 12, 2007 Fruit Loop (Down South) 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
If you want a tool for basic household use, like putting up mini-blinds, assembling furniture, etc, then this is the drill for you. It's terrific for all but heavy-duty construction use. Light and easy to handle, with a nifty little carrying back. Drill bits change out easily. Works as an electric screwdriver with a changeable bit for either flathead or Phillips that stores neatly in the head of the drill. Inexpensive, light and easy to handle, this makes a perfect gift for someone setting up a new house or starting that first toolbox.
Nice drill, nice price. June 21, 2007 Concerned One (Clarinda, IA) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
I recieved this drill about 2 years ago for christmas, and it has not let me down. I have put many screws in, drilled into concrete flooring, along with many holes in walls and wood around the house. The power is quite impressive, and for the price, well worth the investment for the light user like me. The Keyless chuck is a nice feature, but can pose a problem when really needing to drill into a hard substance like concrete, which has tendacny to spin the bit out of the chuck. With patience, and a good grip, that problem can be overcome. I've had more expensive drills not work as well as this. worth a look.
B&D Drill Review May 12, 2007 C. Harmon (Cape Coral, FL USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have only used my new drill a couple of times, but am impressed with it. The tool balance is good. It has plenty of power and speed control seems to be spread over a reasonable range of trigger movement. I didn't think I would like the canvass bag versus a hard case, but now find it lets me store the drill in smaller spaces.
Overall, I would rate this drill as an excellent buy for the money.
Great Drill great price. July 5, 2010 p. cal I am a DIY person. I have build back yard sheds and storage sheds. This drill is very good. I like the two finger trigger. I have used only amature quality tools. This drill is excellent for my purpose. It is powerful and sufficiently light weight. I have no problem with the chuck. Everything works as expected.
